Meet our Staff

Nicole O'Doniel-

Mrs. O'Doniel has been riding and showing horses for over 20 years. She has specialized in training and showing American Saddlebreds, but has trained and shown many other breeds, including Quarter Horses, Paints, Haflingers, Throughbreds, POA's, Arabians, and many more.

Nicole is an accomplished instructor, teaching for over 13 years, with many of her students going on to show in the A circuit, and even the World Championships, in Louisville, Kentucky. Everyone loves to ride with Mrs. O'Doniel, she has the compassion to work with the young children who are just starting out and learning how to guide, and the drive to push her more advanced riders to become all that they can!

Sammie Lancia-

Sammie has been showing horses for over 35 years. She has shown American Saddlebreds, Morgans, Arabians, Quarter Horses, Tennesee Walkers, Paso Fino's and hunters. Over the years she has had a lot of experience showing and working with many trainers. She has shown many different breeds and was fortunate to share so many breeds and temperments, but her love has always kept her heart with the American Saddlebreds.

Allison Strash-

Allison has been a student at Applewood Farms since she was 9 years old. She began riding as a child with a passion, and has since grown into an adult, with not only that passion, but with skill  and expertise as well! She has followed her childhood dreams, and gone on to teach others as well.

She is a skilled horsewoman who  has been volunteering for over 5 years, and training with the best. She has even gone on to the World Championships in Louisville Kentucky. When she is not attending Williamswood University, working on a degree in Equine Science, she is home with her horse and working the young stock! Allison earned a 5000 dollar scholarship from the American Saddle Horse Association for all her hard work and dedication to horses and the Saddlebred breed to help further her education
